Sadieh Rifai

Sadieh has been an ensemble member at A Red Orchid Theatre since 2019. She has performed in Do You Feel Anger?, An Evening at The Talk House, and the world premiere of Grey House. She was also Assistant Director of the world premiere of Turret.

Her credits include several productions at American Theatre Company, including the world premiere of The Humans (Jeff Award nomination for Best Ensemble), The Amish Project, Hedwig and the Angry Inch (co-production with About Face Theatre), Columbinus, and Speech and Debate (After Dark Award for Outstanding Performance). Other Chicago credits include Short Shakes Macbeth (Chicago Shakespeare), Support Group for Men and Christmas Carol (Goodman Theatre), and Ski Dubai (Steppenwolf First Look).

Film credits include The Wise Kids, Nate and Margaret and Olympia. Television credits include Chicago Med, Netflix’s Easy, CBS’s The Red Line, Amazon’s Patriot (in which she plays the recurring role of Mahtma El-Mashad), and Apple TV’s Shining Girls (as the recurring role of Lakshmi Awad). You can catch her in the upcoming film All Happy Families and in the new TJ & Dave TV pilot, “Bettendorf Talks.”

Sadieh is a graduate of the School at Steppenwolf and received the Princess Grace Award in 2011.
