Kamal Angelo Bolden

Kamal Angelo Bolden joined the Ensemble in 2013 after he starred in Brett Neveu's The Opponent both in Chicago and in New York City at 59e59, which earned him both a Jeff Award nomination and Black Theater Alliance Award nomination for Principal Actor.

His Chicago credits include Father Comes Home from the War (Parts 1 – 3) at the Goodman Theatre, Man in the Ring, Jitney, The Misanthrope, and Home, at Court Theatre, We Are Proud to Present… and The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity at Victory Gardens Theatre – the latter play he also performed in at the Actors Theatre of Louisville – Detroit ’67 at Northlight Theatre and Short Shakespeare: Romeo & Juliet at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Kamal has also worked in Nashville, Tennessee at the Nashville Shakespeare Festival (Coriolanus); Tennessee Rep (Glengarry Glen Ross); Nashville Children’s Theatre (four shows) and is an artistic associate of Erasing the Distance.
