Kira Nutter

Kira Nutter (they/she) is *thrilled* to be joining A Red Orchid Theatre as their first ever full-time Production Manager. A longtime theatre administrator, Kira’s work often revolves around self-created sentiment – “The universe was created by collisions; together we can create worlds” — and what better way to do that than by facilitating the colliding of artists to create worlds onstage? When not in production meetings at AROT, they often find themselves…in production meetings…as a fight and intimacy director for over 25 different theatre companies throughout the city of Chicago. Recent credits include: Romeo and Juliet (Oak Park Festival Theatre), Peter and the Starcatcher (Paramount Theatre), Eurydice (Snails on a Bike), The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Wirtz Center), The Swan (Theatre L’Acadie), Inanimate (Theatre Wit), and Big Love (Producing Body). Beyond theatre, you can usually catch Kira being set on fire as a stunt actor or otherwise hanging from a lyra as they learn to fly…and fall…and probably fall again…on this circus staple and more.
