The Cut is the story of a coal miner returning to work after eight years of imprisonment. Searching for the truth behind his father’s mysterious death, he is unable to find anyone willing to face the violent repercussions of honesty. He soon finds himself the victim of ruthless selfish manipulators working towards their own social advancement. Set 3,000 feet below the earth’s surface, Mike Cullen’s explosive thriller upturns the conventional idea of working-class solidarity with a world where Socialism is considered a disease and where “Selfism” is the new political ideal.
