Abigail Madden

Abigail Madden joined A Red Orchid Theatre in June 2015 and hit the ground running. Since her arrival, she has helped lead the company through a huge period of growth including a doubling of the annual budget and the addition of 3 full time staff members. She came to AROT with over 15 years of management experience and brings knowledge and experience in strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, event planning, and budget oversight.

Abigail’s past administrative theatre experience includes work at The Theatre of Western Springs & 16th Street Theater.  Prior to coming back to the world of theatre, Abigail worked for 11 years as manager of O’Sullivan’s Public House, an Irish pub in Forest Park, Il. She holds a BA in Theatre Performance from Ball State University and serves on the board of Habakkuk Theatre (a company she helped found). She also continues to perform as an actor and singer: on stage, she was most recently in Habakkuk Theatre’s production of “Gidion’s Knot” and you can catch her singing around town with her husband, musician Andy Madden.
